Norwegian Breakaway Brings The Taste Of New York To Sea

(PRWEB) November 29, 2012
Norwegian Cruise Line announced today two more New York-inspired food and beverage offerings onboard Norwegian Breakaway, the lines newest ship: Sabrett Hot Dogs and Brooklyn Lager beer. Further enhancing the ships ties to New York City, its year-round homeport, these newly-announced offerings provide guests with a taste of the Big Apple at sea.
Located on the Waterfront, pool deck and forward deck, three Sabrett hot dog carts will sport the brands iconic yellow and blue umbrellas and offer up the same all-beef frankfurters that New Yorkers have voted the #1 hot dog for more than 50 years, renowned for the famous snap! of their natural casing. The carts on Norwegian Breakaway will also include the companys famous condiments, including mustard, sauerkraut, relish, and onions in a delicious tomato sauce, so guests can order their complimentary Sabrett hot dog all the way (complete with all the toppings).
As a New Yorker, Ive been a fan of Sabretts. Since we are launching New Yorks ship, it made complete sense to bring New Yorks favorite hot dog to Norwegian Breakaway, said Kevin Sheehan, CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. With Sabrett hot dogs and Brooklyn Lager beer, our guests will truly get a real taste of the city as a part of their whole New York experience while onboard.
Sabrett is a New York institution, offering our famous all-beef frankfurters to New Yorkers for half a century, said Mark Rosen, vice president of Sabrett. Were so excited to offer our hot dogs on board Norwegian Breakaway and look forward to welcoming New Yorks ship to the Sabrett family.
New Yorks award-winning Brooklyn Brewerys Brooklyn Lager beer will also be offered on Norwegian Breakaway in Uptown Bar & Grill. Lager beer in the Vienna style, Brooklyn Lagers amber-gold color and firm malt center are supported by a refreshing bitterness and floral hop aroma. The aromatic qualities of the beer are enhanced by dry-hopping, the centuries-old practice of steeping the beer with fresh hops as it undergoes a long, cold maturation. The result is a wonderfully flavorful beer, smooth, refreshing and very versatile with food.

West Palm Beach, Fl (PRWEB) October 31, 2012
A great deal of Cheri Mittermaier’s work comes from her dreams. And speaking of dreams, Agora Gallery is having an art exhibition November 1st – November 21, 2012 The opening reception will be on November 8, 2012 (6 to 8 pm)
Many of Cheri Mittermaier’s sculptures will be exhibited including “Hands”, “Andre”, “Eve”, “Unbridled”, “Aurora”, “Dreamer”, “Trophy Wife” and “Unbridled With Colors”. These bronzes are all very special in their own way. “Each piece embraces the deepest levels of human longing, bringing the viewer to magical spaces where double meanings exist and all is not what it appears” stated Joyce Asper of Agora Gallery, September 2011.
Not all Cheri’s sculptures come from her dreams. “Bosom Bunny” for example is not from a dream. It was Cheri first sculpture. “Bosom Bunny” was built from the bottom up, in coils. It has the body of a women and at the last moment, Cheri gave it a bunny head. This gesture was a nod to Joe Bova and his sculpture of a Playboy bunny.
With regard to “Trophy Wife”, Cheri was having a dream where she was walking through a gallery and she was seeing sculptures that were really interesting to her. Soon after she woke up, and realized the artwork was hers. Cheri started work on a sculpture of a face of a woman with the neck of a horse. After speaking with another artist, Brian Somerville, he suggested the sculpture be a wall hanging, like a trophy. From that point on it became “Trophy Wife”.
When the sculpture “Dreamer” was being made, Cheri was molding the clay, working very quickly and she was observing that the piece looked very rough. She realized that she liked it in it’s raw state. Cheri likes the tool marks and fingerprints on her sculptures.
One evening Cheri was riveted to a movie she was watching about Georgia O’Keeffe. In the twilight hours of the next day Cheri had a dream about a static horse with no legs and a female rider mounted upon it. This became the start of “Unbridled”. Be sure to mark your calendar to see “Unbridled” and Cheri’s other works at Agora Gallery.
About The Artist:
Cheri Mittermaier is a native of Indiana, graduate of Purdue with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Fine Arts and Humanities. She has traveled extensively and studied sculpture in Paris, France and Rome, Italy under Peter Rubino and Martine Vaugel. Cheri currently lives and works in West Palm Beach, Fl. Her work was chosen by the Boca Raton Fine Art Museum in 2009 and 2010.
