How did you breath while you were making your easel out in space? Did you have a space suit?

  4. jetsonjoe on September 2, 2012 1:49 am

This is great…and it does not take tons of space in what many of us have to work in small spaces…or live in small spaces.

I have normaly paint on heavy plywood panels and I have not had any problems. The onlything I did notice is after sitting a long time the tension loosens just a tad so the painting can fall forward. A small lip on the top bar fixes this as it keeps it from every being able to fall to far forward.

There is nothing on the back side of the bars that hold the canvas on mine so there is nothing holding them level. But a block on each side of the rail on the back would fix that. And nope nothing else to make the washer and wingnut to work. The only metal pieces are the bolt, washer and wingnut.

Clever!…simple and functional. I wonder how it looks from the backside of the two adjustable wooden bars that are suppose to hold canvas. Also it’s got to have some more piece to make canvas straight horizontally. Is there any counter part piece for the washer and wingnut to work? I can’t see the back from the video. Thanks.

Thanks for the video! Do you know if this easel can hold a canvas that weighs 12 lbs? Or even up to 16 lbs? Thank you!!

That beginning squence is too long, but this idea is decent. Too many people try to make easels without a clamping mechanism on the top! You actually know what you’re doing here and I’m gladdened to see it
